Introduction
Welcome (or welcome back) to the official forums for QI Games. This is an initiative that we've been wanting to fully dive-in on for a few years at this point but unfortunately we didn't have the time nor the staff to help properly flesh out the forums in a way that we felt was sufficient and productive. I took it upon myself to set everything up on here, as well as to do some custom code work to make sure that Backers automatically receive their roles, etc.
I personally believe that a forum is superior to Discord where messages often get lost as well as Social Media where the only aim for people is to mindlessly dunk on each other, we have a desire to communicate with our community in a much more meaningful format and I believe that this is a step in the right direction.
Code of Conduct
This is a forum where instead of handing out warnings, we will be handing out bans. Bans are time outs. If you have been banned, you will have an opportunity to appeal the ban. While this may come off as harsh, we simply want people to get the message, take a breather, and then rejoin the forum when it is appropriate for them to do so. It should also go without saying that we require all users of our forums to at least be 18 years of age, underage posters will be removed from the forum.
Posting Etiquette
Treat others the way you wish to be treated, this is a polite way of saying do not be a dick to other users.
Criticism is welcomed on the forum. You should only criticize the idea, rather than the people behind the idea. Do not result to ad hominems or other logical fallacies to try and win a debate.
Any discussion of piracy is unacceptable especially if you are posting links or asking for links to pirated materials.
Do not create callout posts. These are posts calling on people to explain something when they have no involvement in the thread.
Do not post while under the influence. You will get a PUI.
Memes are generally not allowed outside of Fast Threads, the only exception is when a meme has entered popular vocabulary.
Posts should be related to the original post, having a discussion evolve is fine but purposefully derailing a thread will get you banned.
Forum Etiquette
Do not bump old threads unless there is a good reason to do so.
Use proper formatting, especially when posting images.
Use spoiler tags to cover anything that can be considered a spoiler.
If you wish to discuss the forum itself, please do so in the most recent "Forum Discussion" thread in the General Discussion forum.
If for whatever reason you are unhappy with our moderators on the forums or on our Discord, please send a direct message to Mike or one of the moderators. Do not post about your problems with staff on the forums as it just creates drama.
